| | Day One (14.00 Hrs): Depart Chiang Mai by minibus for a scenic drive through undulating mountains and valleys,verdant woods, quaint small towns, picturesque villages and emerald green rice fields.(from June -Oct) Stop by at a hot -spring where you can mingle with the locals. Arrive to Chiang Rai and check in at a hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day Two (08.00 Hrs): Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the flourishing border town of Maesai and stop by at a jade carving factory. Proceed to the ancient town of Chiangsaen, which was the very first kingdom in Thailand, situated on the banks of the mighty Mekhong River. Then on to the world - renowned Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos,Burma meet at the confluence of the Mekhong River. Stops are also made at a Yao hill -tribe village and an Akha hill-tribe village. See the quaint, but colourfully embroideried dresses that is their daily attire. Drive back to Chiang Mai. (Lunch is included on 2nd day)
